Steve Noonan released to the public his newest recording with a show at Harriet Brewing Saturday the 28th of February, 2015 at 9PM. The CD was produced in Nashville, Tennessee, by Dustin Burnett. Noonan and his band travelled to Nashville earlier this year and recorded at the Sound Emporium, a historic recording studio. Overdubs were done in Minneapolis at Brewhouse Recording Studio and North Wood Studio. Players on the record include Nick Salisbury, Blair Krivanek, timmyz, Lisi Wright, and Tommy Barbarella.

Steve Noonan’s style is a blend of 3 influences: '70s singer/songwriters like Neil Young and Warren Zevon; '80s postmodern bands like The Cure and Echo and The Bunnymen; and finally, his days as a recording engineer for Prince. The end results are clear baritone vocals surrounded by his 12-string guitar’s lush open chords. He’s been compared to artists like Tom Petty, David Bowie, and Oasis, but retains his own musical thumbprint.

I Could Be Anywhere is Noonan’s third release. His 2009 self-titled EP release was a sound in Minneapolis that established his songwriting and 12-string guitar capabilities. The 2012 release of his second EP, A Mile Long, represented a new level to Noonan’s music. Enlisting Nashville’s Dustin Burnett as producer, the record further highlighted Noonan’s lyrical ability, and explored the emotion that a bigger, fuller rock arrangement can evoke from his well-crafted songs. This newest release, also recorded in Nashville with Dustin Burnett on the project, is set to show his evolving artistry.
